First trip to Davis Wade Stadium.......

My son just received his acceptance to MSU's PGM Program. We made our first trip to Starkville back in March and loved it. Very impressed with the campus and PGM staff; so we're very excited to make our first trip for a football weekend. We're staying in Columbus.

Any pointers for a first-timers? best public (paid) parking available? any other must-see, must-do game day things?

I'm also making my first trip to Davis Wade and hope for some of the same pointers. Also, which are the best places to snag some tailgate fare? Should we just grab BBQ on the way through Birmingham?

I've always found the Bulldog fans who visit Columbia to be an engaging and friendly bunch. Really looking forward to game day tomorrow!
