In-state OL target Bryson Hurst was on campus last Friday again and he visited Ole Miss as well. The two in-state schools are battling it out a good bit here. Hurst plans to take some visits in the fall so a commitment is not planned soon.
"I plan on going on some trips this fall," Hurst told Rivals. "I want to show my family the gameday atmosphere at different places."
MSU made the top 3 for DE Malachi Madison (Thomas Dale- Chester, VA) recently, but with the recent commitments of Donterrey Russell and RJ Moss it will be interesting to see if they want a third DE type or not this cycle out of HS. Madison's other top schools are VaTech and UCF so it is strange final three as well.
WR Kaydin Pope dropped his final 4 on Sunday and MSU was in there along with Tenn, Memphis and Auburn.
MSU CB commit Tyler Woodard (Freedom Prep Academy- Memphis, TN) is getting the full-court press from Georgia Tech and several sources I've spoken to believe a flip or decommitment will be coming soon.
The Bulldogs have a few other CB targets warmed up so it is not a huge loss if he goes elsewhere.
