Week Seven - Friday – SEC 2016

Mississippi State Bulldogs (7pt DOG) @ BYU Cougars….
Bully hadn’t even had a full week to heal up from his last cat fight before having to head to Provo, Utah to square up with a Crazy Cult Cougar named Brigham Young. These hungry Cougars have been “Ripping-n- Roaring” on opponents all year long. Their 3-3 record is very misleading as they have been in every game this year. All three lost were less than a field goal but it now appears the Cougars are in stride. The last two weeks they knocked off their opponents; Toledo at home but more impressive last week they hammered Michigan State (MSU) on their field 31-14. This week BYU gets another crack at taking down another MSU team. The natives are restless in Starkville, MS after watching last week’s performance against Auburn. It’s not so much that they lost the game; it’s how they lost the game. As soon as the Bulldogs arrived at Scott Field last Saturday morning; they were castrated, dominated and eliminated before the buzzer even sounded to end the first half. This wasn’t a performance that anyone anticipated, including Auburn, after the Bulldogs had two weeks to prepare for this Auburn team. Coach Mullen has swept a lot of this team’s shortcomings under the “Young and Inexperienced” rug this year. What I saw last Saturday had nothing to do with youth and inexperience. QB Nick Fitzgerald is explosive but he’s also inconsistent and inaccurate in the passing game which has made this team unbalanced and predictable. QB Damien Williams offers balance to this Bulldog team, minus the explosiveness. I’m betting on Dan Mullen’s stubbornness “NOT” to make a switch at QB……Cougars win and cover 31-21!!!

Week Seven - Saturday– SEC 2016

Vanderbilt Commodores (14pt DOG) @ Georgia Bulldogs….
Uga might still have a few feathers hanging out of his mouth when he struts into Sanford Stadium this coming Saturday. Last weekend the Dawgs downed the Chickens in a four quarter struggle that officially took place in Williams-Brice Stadium last Sunday afternoon. It was definitely a struggle for the Dawgs as they struggled to pass and they struggled to score. But in the end, not even Hurricane Matthews could save the Gamecocks. The Dawgs will have another good challenge this weekend as the Commodores of Vanderbilt come sailing into town. Vanderbilt’s Coach Derek Mason might not care if he scores 10 pts in this game, but brother, you better believe he cares if you score 10 pts!!! This Vanderbilt team is deep rooted, suited and ready to roll when it coming to playing aggressive hard-nosed defense!!! Expect the Dawgs to struggle against this Vanderbilt defense until QB Jacob Eason gets all “The Puppy” out of him......Dawgs win but do not cover 27-17!!!

#1 Alabama Crimson Tide (12.5pt FAV) @ #9 Tennessee Volunteers….
Smokey was seen hanging out with Reveille a bunch last weekend at the Tennessee-Texas A&M game. In fact, he got himself a good case of the fleas. As the ole saying goes; if you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas. Well QB Joshua Dobbs is no exception to this rule because he went to petting Smokey on the head the other day and Smokey caught a good case of the INT’s from QB Dobbs. Yup! Every time Smokey tries to go outside and air it up in the green zone, he gets intercepted at the door. QB Joshua Dobbs obviously has talent and definitely can move the chains but he still hasn’t demonstrated the ability to get over the hump in the big game. In fact, for every 2 touchdown drives he makes you can count on one bad decision. That’s why he leads the league in INT’s. That’s almost double to his nearest rival. That won’t cut it with this Alabama defense that seems to be better than last year’s team; if you can hardly believe it!!! Bama’s QB Jalen Hurts on the other hand has shown he can protect the ball with only 2 INTs on the year plus he’s already shown that he’s clutch under pressure. This game is potentially is showcasing a preview of the SEC Championship game. Trust me when I tell you this; Coach Dick Satan and his herd of Elephants have had this game circled on their calendar for awhile……Bama rolls and covers 44-30!!!

Missouri Tigers (14pt DOG) @ #18 Florida Gators….
Alligator Chomp-Chomp,
Chew-chew-chew,
Whatcha gonna do,
When he latches on you???....lolll
Tigers are normally good swimmers but swimming is very difficult in a swamp especially when you have a 600lb alligator attached to your gluteus maximus!!! (just sayin’) And that is exactly what it’s gonna feel like for Missouri’s QB Drew Luck this weekend in Gainesville when that tenacious Florida defense sinks its teeth. As far as Florida goes; Gator’s QB Luke Del Rio is back in the swamp slashing his tail this week after missing the last two games due to a knee injury. This Florida team, offensively and definitely, is definitely a different team when he’s in the game. How well is that knee and how well is he mentally??? Will he stand in the pocket to deliver the football or will he get “happy feet” under duress and look for a place to lie down??? (To Be Determined) I’m betting on the blood that runs in his veins passed on by his father Jack Del Rio…….QB Del Rio “shows-up and shows-out”……….Gators win but do not cover 33-24!!!

#14 Ole Miss Rebels (7pt FAV) @ #16 Arkansas Razorbacks….
Bye week----friend or foe??? The Rebels and Coach Hugh Freeze witness their counterpart in StarkVegas fall apart last weekend after a bye week. I’m sure the message in Oxford was pretty clear this week especially considering the Rebels are on the road in Fayetteville, AR. This isn’t a place for a letdown. Despite losing to Alabama last weekend and facing Rebels star QB Chad Kelly this weekend, the Hawgs come into this game with a lot of confidence. They have a rising star at QB too, Austin Allen. This will be the 5th home game in a row for the Hawgs before they hit the road schedule. The Rebels, likewise, have enjoyed a similar schedule but this weekend begins their brutal road schedule. Glad Chad “Machine Gun” Kelly shows up with his arm “locked-n-loaded” and sights it in the first half and then unleashes his arm in the second half for total death and destruction!!!......lollll….…Arkansas hangs early but the “Wear-n-Tear” of the Alabama game rears its ugly head against this well-rested, motivated Rebel team!!! Rebels win and cover 42-33!!!

Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles (25.5pt DOG) @ LSU Tigers….
LSU’s Coach “O” is all about eating some good ole Southern-Cajun style cooking. Nothing says southern cooking like Southern Fried Chicken. And nothing says Cajun like eating stuff that you ain’t supposed to eat!!! Hence, Southern Golden Fried Eagle-------------with Louisiana hot sauce!!! How much hot sauce??? (just enough hot sauce to put some voodoo into your doodoo) Now, that’s hot!!! Butt, it’s not as hot as this LSU football team!!! And it’s not about the “X”s and “O”s with this football team; it’s all about the chemistry and the spirit of this team. Coach “O” is breathing life into this sleeping Dragon. Watch out SEC WEST if this Dragon’s candle ever gets lit!!! Southern Miss has a decent football team but they’re playing this game at the worst possible time. Basically, they’re victims of circumstances or another way of saying it; they’ll be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Bayou Bengals win but do not cover 38-14!!!
