Week Thirteen - Thursday – SEC 2016
#16 LSU Tigers (6.5pt FAV) @ #25 Texas A&M Aggies….
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Cows go!
Cows go who?
Cows go moo not who!!!
Texas A&M not only lost their best two players on offense and defense but they lost their leadership on offense and defense when DE Myles Garrett and QB Trevor Knight went down. Myles Garrett will play but he’s about 75% right now. Coach Sumlin will need to coach up the Aggie offense in an attempt to cover up their weaknesses. That will be a huge task against this LSU defense. And on the other side of the field, Coach “O” will need an impressive “WIN” to keep his job at Baton Rouge!!! Not 100% sure he’ll get an impressive win or not; but I am 100% positive that his players will be “ALL IN” to get him the win. These Tigers appear to be rising up in the sky like a big air balloon where as these Aggies feel more like a hot-air balloon falling apart at the seams at 50,000 feet in the sky!!!..........Tigers win and cover 34-21!!!
Week Thirteen - Friday – SEC 2016
Arkansas Razorbacks (9pt FAV) @ Missouri Tigers….
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Sue!
Sue Who?
Sue Wee………………….(as in Sooooie)………………Wooooooooooo, Pig! Soooooie!!!
Arkansas Head Coach Bret Bielema has his team eating high on the Hawg right now; so there shouldn’t be a letdown against Missouri. The Tigers of Missouri are ready to end this season but playing at home; they’ll fight to the bitter end as long as they feel life in this game. If the Hawg’s defense shows up in the first half and QB Austin Allen & RB Rawleigh Williams find their grove early; this game could get out of hand---or out of hoof, in this case!!!.... (Woooo, Pig! Soooie)Razorbacks win but do not cover 35-27!!!
Week Thirteen - Saturday – SEC 2016
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (4.5pt DOG) @ Georgia Bulldogs….
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Boo.
Boo who?
Don’t cry Georgia fans it could’ve been worse-----------just ask any Ole Miss fan!!!
Two 7-4 Georgia teams face off in a clash of ACC vs. SEC. There’s definitely more than Georgia pride on the line here. Every conference fan will be watching and rooting for their conference team to break the tie in their favor. Georgia Tech comes into this game with a limped up QB Justin Thomas but their back up QB Matthew Jordan may be even better. Two weeks ago QB Matthew Jordan got the nod when QB Justin Thomas couldn’t go and the Yellow Jackets stung #14 Virginia Tech. at their own hive!!! Georgia RB Nick Chubb needs 100 yards to hit a 1,000 for the season. This weekend his offensive line paves the way for #27!!!.........Dawgs win but do not cover 27-24!!!
Kentucky Wildcats (27pt DOG) @ #11 Louisville Cardinals….
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
King Tut.
King Tut who?
King Tut-key (Kentucky) fried chicken-------or cardinal, in this case!!!
Can the Wildcats break this five game winning streak that the Cardinals hold on them??? I would have said “NO” before seeing Houston destroy Louisville last weekend but now there’s a blue print on how to defeat the Cardinals convincingly. Kentucky has finally come to term, like Tennessee, that they are a running team. With the pressure off to get bowl eligible I think you might see the best Kentucky performance of the year. They will be relaxed, confident and with a “Nothing to Lose” attitude coming into this game. Expect Kentucky to lower the “Boom” on Louisville---as in RB Boom Williams along with senior RB JoJo Kemp and rising freshman star, Benny Snell JR. The only problem with the blue prints to victory that Houston provided is; Well, Houston’s good!!! They’re 9-2, they played at home plus they’re an undefeated conference team (American Atlantic - West). Ohhhh, and they forced 3 turnovers awhile keeping “Heisman Hopeful” QB Lamar Jackson under 50% completion and limiting him to only 33 yards rushing…….A Wildcat is a big cat; but it ain’t no Cougar!!! ……..Cardinals win but do not cover 42-28!!!
Mississippi State Bulldogs (8pt DOG) @ Ole Miss Rebels….
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Madame.
Madame who?
Madame (my damn) DAWGS better beat Ole Miss this year!!!...lolll
The Egg Bowl isn’t what it’s “cracked-up” to be in recent years but the stakes couldn’t be any higher for these two teams. Ole Miss needs this game desperately to become bowl eligible but more importantly to get the extra practices in that is need to continue the development of freshman sensation QB Shea Patterson. A loss this Saturday would mean a loss on the decision to pull the freshman’s redshirt year. The Bulldogs of Mississippi will view this game as the last official statement until spring since there’s no bowl game for them this year. QB Nick Fitzgerald’s progress in the passing game has sure been slow to develop but one thing is “fo-sho”; he can definitely carry the rock!!! He only needs 15 more rushing yards to cross the 1,000 yard mark this season. QB Nick Fitzgerald may never find his consistency in the passing game but if he ever does, watch out!!! This game comes down to who can control the line of scrimmage best. I like the Rebel’s offensive line vs. State’s D line. But, on the other side, I like State’s O line vs. the Rebels defensive line. Basically, this game will be a shootout and the home teams are 14-3 in the modern era. If TE Evan Engram can’t go this Saturday it might be the difference in this game. But, it won’t be!!! The Bulldogs special teams will be the difference in this game-----the lack of special teams!!!....Rebels win but do not cover 35-33!!!
#13 Auburn Tigers (18pt DOG) @ #1 Alabama Crimson Tide….
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Herd.
Herd who?
I herd (heard) a herd of elephants were planning a rendezvous!!!
Rarely do you have a team going into the National Playoff picture with no pressure to win. No question if Alabama were to lose this game that they might still be ranked #1-----#2 at worse!!! They have been too dominate plus their resume speaks for itself. The only thing that’s going to slow down this herd of Elephants is tranquilizers and I’m not so sure that would even work. With too many stars to list on defense, this “NFL dream draft” defense front will continue to do what they do. Offensive, apparently, there’s no answer to freshman QB Jalen Hurts. Stop his passing game and he kills you running the ball (LSU); stop his running game and he kills you passing the ball (Arkansas). On the other side of the field, the Tigers season rest upon the health of QB Sean White’s passing shoulder and RB Kamryn Pettway’s hamstring. The Tiger’s defense is good enough to slow down Alabama; they’re just not good enough to stop Alabama!!! Alabama is good enough to shut out Auburn. With a banged up team I don’t see the Tigers pulling the upset!!!...… (The Tiger’s defense keeps it close).....Tide rolls but doesn’t cover 28-17!!!
South Carolina Gamecocks (25pt DOG) @ #4 Clemson Tigers….
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Lettuce!
Lettuce Who?
Lettuce (Let us) play Alabama!!!
Gamecocks Head Coach Will Muschamp’s decision to pull his freshman QB’s redshirt off this year paid off not only for him but the entire Gamecock season. Without that difficult decision being made when he made it; the Gamecocks most likely would’ve been sitting on 4 wins at the end of the season plus sitting at home watching Bowl Games on TV!!! South Carolina’s QB Jake Bentley injected not only his talent into this dying team but he injected some enthusiasm. The defense actually raised their level of play because of the new found hope on offense. Most pre-season sports experts picked South Carolina to finish 4-8; so, my hat goes off to this team for proving the experts aren’t really experts. Now, with that being said, you know Clemson is going to whip your ass,,,,right???.......lolll......Clemson has too much experience, too much talent and too much to lose to not show up this weekend!!! The Tigers loss to Pittsburgh may have been the best thing for this team’s chemistry. Last week it showed to be true as DT Carlos Watkins and LB Kendall Joseph made short work of the Demon Deacons of Wake Forrest. RB Wayne Gallman needs only 170 yards rushing to bust open the 1,000 yard mark for the season plus QB Deshaun Watson needs only 300 total yards to have another 4,000+ total yards season. Are the Tigers peaking at the right time??? I guess we find out this Saturday. If the Tigers struggle to put away the Cocks of South Carolina then its glaring obvious-----------------to me; they ain’t gonna be peaking out this year which means they’ll be an afterthought to Alabama and the National Playoff picture!!! The Cocks come out to play, but in the end, they’re unable to pull it off!!!……..Tigers win but do not cover 38-17!!!
