Mississippi State sits at 27 commits for the 2015 class, and according to a well-placed source, the Dawgs have just two recruits left on the board.
Those recruits are JuCo DT Leo Lewis.
I talked to a MSU source on Monday and the source said MSU is optimistic that the Dawgs will land both of the guys.
A few people I've talked to around the recruiting world seem to believe that Miggins is going to be a Dawg. He took official visits to Kentucky and NC State, but to my knowledge, neither school has offered yet. I would project Miggins to sign with MSU on Wednesday for sure. Also, I've heard that Kentucky flat out doesn't believe they'll get him if they offer.
For Lewis, who really knows besides him, if he even knows? Ever since his decommitment from Alabama at the Big Dawg Camp, there has just been such a positive sense that no matter what happens, he will end up at MSU, or at least the Dawgs will have a great shot. With NSD just two days away, it seems that he's down to Mississippi State and LSU - on his Twitter account, he tweeted a tiger and a dog emoticons, which seems to indicate his choice of LSU or Mississippi State. However, there is speculation that Ole Miss might still be in the mix.
6 of the 8 national recruiting analysts on Rivals picked Lewis to sign with LSU, while the other two picked MSU.
So my educated guess will be Lewis to LSU and Miggins to MSU.
***Florida DC Geoff Collins offered MSU OG commit Darryl Williams earlier today. I fully expect Williams to stick with MSU, but figured it was an interesting recruiting note to drop..
