Prescott honored again as Quarterback of the Week

For the second time in a three-week span, Mississippi State's Dak Prescott has earned the Davey O'Brien Quarterback of the Week honor. He is the first two-time weekly winner in 2014.

Prescott has propelled the 5-0 Bulldogs to their highest ranking ever (third in the Associated Press poll) after MSU defeated then-No. 6 Texas A&M, 48-31, on Saturday afternoon.

The Haughton, La., native accounted for five touchdowns against the Aggies, rushing for three scores and passing for two. He finished 20 of 26 for 268 yards through the air, had 23 carries for 77 yards and grabbed one pass for 11 yards.

The Davey O'Brien Award preseason watch list selection has been a dual threat, ranking ninth in the nation in total offense (335.6 yards per game). He also ranks fourth in the nation in points responsible for (120) and sixth in passing efficiency (180.7).

On the year, Prescott is 78-for-122 (63.9 percent) with 13 passing touchdowns, while averaging 246.4 yards per game. In addition, he has amassed 455 rushing yards (91.0 per game) with six touchdowns and has two receptions for 35 yards and a score.
