STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State men’s basketball team came away with a No. 25 ranking in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches Top 25 polls released Monday.

The Bulldogs are ranked inside the AP Poll for the fourth consecutive time to start the season for the first time since 2004-05 when Mississippi State appeared in the opening 12 editions.

The Bulldogs are one of four SEC teams among the nation’s top 25 which include Tennessee (6, 7), Auburn (8, 10) and Kentucky (10, 9).

Mississippi State is joined by Kentucky and Texas as the only three schools in the nation to have its football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball programs ranked.
