Week Eight– SEC 2015 – Saturday

Auburn Tigers (6 pt DOG) @ Arkansas Razorbacks….
Coach Bielema utilized his off week to give his Hawg a tune up. He rotated some players and changed the oil in a few. After the tune up he spent the rest of the week just polishing up on his Hawg with a bunch of reps. This coming Saturday he gets a chance to take his Hawg out for a spin around the block. He’s added a bigger gas tank in an effort to not run out of gas in the 4th quarter. Auburn head coach, Gus Malzahn, finally found a QB that won’t throw passes to the opposing team. QB Sean White isn’t setting the world on fire with his performances; in fact, he hasn’t even thrown for a TD this season. But, he’s not throwing any interceptions. QB Sean White’s ability to manage a football game has allowed the Auburn team to stabilize and has given his team a chance to win by eliminating costly turnovers. They are definitely trending up but I wonder if this young QB will hold up to this Razorback defense. I think Bielema fires up his Hawg this weekend, revs up his Hawg, smokes up his Hawg and squeals out!!! Razorbacks win and cover 28-21!!!

Tennessee Volunteers (15.5 pt DOG) @ #8 Alabama Crimson Tide….
The Volunteers will be having problems finding volunteers at running back this week!!! RB Jalen Hurd, don’t do it!!! And, if you do; you might want to think about throwing some double-sided Velcro into the front side of your jock so little Jalen Jr stays put when Big Al knocks him in the dirt!!!Just saying……..Alabama’s defense is only allowing on average 70 yards rushing per game. Bama’s DL Jonathan Allen and Da’Shawn Robinson are now blowing up “O” lineman right and left which has freed up LB Reggie Ragland to do what he does best. And if by chance a Tennessee running back survives a “Ragland Attack”; he won’t make it far before running into one of Bama’s headhunters, CB Cyrus Jones or SS Eddie Jackson!!! The Volunteers defense gives up on average 419 yards per game. They are way too soft which means they must out score their opponents. Alabama will score and score often. Tennessee’s QB Joshua Dobbs will be able to score but just not enough. The x-factor in this game is the fact that this Alabama team tends to play up and/or down to their level of competition. So, this game stays closer, longer!!! The Tide rolls but does not cover 42-28!!!

Missouri Tigers (3 pt FAV) @ Vanderbilt Commodores….
I tuned in to watch a football game being played in Athens last weekend and a baseball game broke out! Georgia homered in the 9th inning to take the one game series over the Tigers……………..(Insert sarcasm) The Vanderbilt -South Carolina game wasn’t much better; it ended with a final score of 19-10!!! Yippee! Theses two offenses are so impotent that they would have a difficult time scoring even if you slipped a 1000mg of Viagra in their Gatorade. The Commodores are averaging 19 points a game with Mizzou right behind them averaging an “Amazing” 16 point a game!!!((Insert Sarcasm)) In fact, most of the scoring that happens in Nashville this coming Saturday will be because of the efforts of Team Captain Morgan and QB Jim Beam after the game. Now, with that being said, the one thing these two teams do, do well; is playing defense. The Tigers are only allowing 12.9points per game and Vanderbilt is limiting their opponents to just 18.5 points per game. No offense + great defense = a very low scoring game!!!! Tigers win and cover 17-13!!!

#15 Texas A&M Aggies (5.5 pt DOG) @ #24 Ole Miss Rebels….
Neither one of these teams is in the mood for my humor this week. So, I’ll get right to the breakdown. Both the A&M Aggies and the Rebel Black Bears come into this game licking their wounds, literally!!! Both teams come limping into this game with big question marks hovering over their heads on some key players. For the Rebels, DL Robert Nkemdiche and SS Trae Elston will most likely be a game day decision; they both must pass all post concussion protocol test to be cleared to play and starting center Robert Conyers is out for the season with a torn ACL. As far the Aggies, technically no one is out but their star DE Myles Garrett may have re-injured his same hand/wrist he had surgery on back in January in the Alabama game last week. Something to look for as the game unfolds. If he’s limited with that hand you may see a breakdown in the Aggie defense this week. Also, to make matters harder for Mr. Garrett; he’s going to be facing the best offensive lineman in the country. Ole Miss gets their star offensive tackle LaremyTunsil back from his seven-game suspension this week. No secret here; the loser of this game will definitely be eliminated in the SEC WEST title race. If Aggies QB Kyle Allen comes into this game with spiders in his head from those 3 pick six’s he threw last week it might be a long day for the Aggies. If Ole Miss can find any running game at all and keep QB Chad ”Machine Gun” Kelly from throwing into triple coverage they should have a good chance of winning this game. I feel the Rebels ability to bounce back, confidence wise; will be quicker than the Aggies with the return of Laremy Tunsil. Rebels win but do not cover 33-31!!!

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (16.5 pt DOG) @ #5 LSU Tigers….
As the saying goes; opposites attract. These two teams couldn’t be more different. One loves to pass the ball and one loves to run the ball; one defense doesn’t want you to gain a yard and the other doesn’t care how many yards you get as long as you don’t score. This game showcases one of the best passing offenses in the country with QB Brandon Doughty leading his Hilltoppers team into Death Valley to faceoff with one of the best rushing offenses in the country with RB Leonard Fournette leading his Tiger team. For LSU, this game is all about how motivated the Tiger defense is on pitching a shutout. The Tigers offense will be business as usual------Fournette right and Fournette left!!! But, I’m predicting a slight letdown and slow start for this LSU Tigers defense after beating #8 Florida last week. This is a huge game not only for Western Kentucky but their Coach Jeff Brohm. This game is a job interview for the head coaching position at South Carolina. If he can compete and keep this game close, he won’t be coaching at WKU next season. (In a good way) With that being said, WKU will score early in this game but fall off after the LSU defense decides to show up in the 2nd half. Tigers win but do not cover 38-28!!!

Kentucky Wildcats (12 pt DOG) @ Mississippi State Bulldogs….
Kentucky Football Blues:
I hear the train a comin' It's rolling round the bend
And I ain't seen the endzone since I don't know when,
I'm stuck in Kentucky Football, and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a rollin' on down to the End Zone!!!
The “DAK TRAIN” is back and he’s heading down the track……So Kentucky, prepare for the SMACK!!!
Kentucky fans; I know you love listening to some Bluegrass but this weekend you gonna be feelin’ some Black-n- Blueass. So prepare for 60 minutes of Dak running up yo’ crack, cleats in the booty, watching some good ole timey Greengrass touchdown runs!!!.............Bulldogs win but do not cover 33-24!!!
