Week Eleven - Saturday – SEC 2016

Mississippi State Bulldogs (30pt DOG) @ #1 Alabama Crimson Tide….
Do you remember the movie “Rocky II” where Rocky, a huge underdog, gets a shot at the title and wins it in the last round against all odds……Welllllll, this isn’t that movie!!!......THAT WAS A MOVIE FOLKS!!!! Sylvester Stallone was 5’9” 175lbs, fighting for “THE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP” of the world!!!! Ain’t gonna happen in real life and this game ain’t happening in real life. Not to scuff at a win but the Aggies were pretty beat up coming to Starkville last weekend and looked unprepared and unmotivated. They were playing basically without their two best players on offense and defense; QB Trevor Knight and DE Myles Garrett. The Alabama offense got to eat a big ole piece of humble pie last weekend when the LSU defense managed to shut out their offense for 3 quarters. Eventually QB Jalen Hurt was able to break free and get the only touchdown of the night-------in the fourth quarter!!! With that all said, this game prediction isn’t about who wins; it’s about who covers!!!…….Tide rolls but does not cover 38-14!!!

South Carolina Gamecocks (12pt DOG) @ Florida Gators….
Don’t go counting your Gators before they hatch Florida fans!!! Apparently these baby chicks from South Carolina grow up really fast. In fact, I saw one baby chick grow up in just three weeks. His crown only has three feathers on top but they’re very impressive feathers!!! If this Young Gamecock QB Jake Bentley “shows up & shows out” again in Gainesville; then this Florida Gator fan base may find themselves eating crow when their Ex-Ball Coach Will Muschamp walks to mid field to get his “CONGRATS” handshake from New Coach Jim McElwain!!! Florida has got issues at QB and on offense in general. Their defense will have to play inspired and be mentally prepared for a “3-n-out” kinda of day from their offense. The Gamecocks are hungry and will come to play but QB Bentley has not faced a team that is going to put constant pressure on him in hopes to force errors. If he passes the test; Gamecocks win and if he doesn’t the Gators win. This Gator defense is tested and true; Gamecock QB Jake Bentley and his offensive line have not faced a defense quite like this Florida “D”. The best two defenses that South Carolina has faced this year were Texas A&M and Miss State……………...Both games resulted in losses!!! Gators win but do not cover 24-20!!!

Kentucky Wildcats (14pt DOG) @ Tennessee Volunteers….
Who’s the biggest Kentucky fan in the whole wide world????......Cocky from South Carolina!!! In a magical scenario the Gamecocks could technically still be alive in the SEC East title race if Kentucky loses; but if the Wildcats win, it’s over!!! Kentucky couldn’t beat Georgia at home last weekend; they sho’ain’t beating Tennessee on the road this weekend. Kentucky; you better be careful!!! You’re just two loses away from basketball jokes and no bowl game!!!.....Volunteers win but do not cover 35-28!!!

#9 Auburn Tigers (10pt FAV) @ Georgia Bulldogs….
Do any of you Georgia Bulldog fans remember the band Three Dog Night???
Uga was a Bulldog---------------------dun dun dunt
Was a good friend of mine----------dun dun dunt
I never understand why he peed on a tree,
But he always had a good bloodline.
Joy to the World, Joy to all the boys and girls,
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea,,,,,,,,Joy to you and me!!!-----------------------dun dun dunt!!!!
Good news all around for War Eagle nation. RB Kamryn Pettway’s hamstring injury wasn’t as bad as first thought in last weekend’s action against Vandy. He’s back on the practice field this week but in limited action. Don’t expect him to contribute too much this weekend but he shouldn’t have to with very a capable RB Kerryon Johnson sitting on “ready-n-willing”!!! Also, the leader of this Auburn football team, QB Sean White, will be back in the saddle this week against the Bulldogs of Georgia. This game won’t be in question early or late. The streak continues and grows to #7!!!........Tigers win and cover 35-24!!!

Vanderbilt Commodores (3.5pt DOG) @ Missouri Tigers….
I would highly recommend bourbon if you intend to watch this game. It will make it “appear” to be interesting. Vandy has a decent defense with a crappy offense and Mizzou has a crappy defense and at best a streaky offense. Vanderbilt actually has performed well on the road this year and as of lately. They beat Georgia on their own homefield and gave Auburn all they wanted in the plains last week......Commodores win and pocket the points 21-20!!!

#24 LSU Tigers (7pt FAV) @ #25 Arkansas Razorbacks….
Oink Oink vs. Meow Meow!!! Ahhhh, sweet little kitty cat; he’s so cute----------HSSSSSSssssssssssssssss!!! Woah!!! That kitty cat ain’t looking for pettin’; he’s lookin’ for killin’!!! Hawgs hold onto your bacon and watch your jowls. This LSU Tiger’s stomach is starting to growl from hunger pains after being starved last weekend by the Alabama defense. This LSU defense is the real deal; holding Bama to only 10 points. But this Arkansas offense might be even better than Alabama’s offense. They are more balanced and have experienced weapons sitting at every offensive position. They did hang 30 pts on Alabama----just sayin’....The good news for LSU; Arkansas’s defense!!!.....LSU wins but does not cover 31-28!!!

Ole Miss Rebels (9.5pt DOG) @ #8 Texas A&M Aggies….
These two teams come into this game with lots of bumps-n-bruises; slumps-n-excuses!!! One of the rigors of the playing in the SEC-----Injuries!!! Looks like Texas A&M is going to need their 12th man, 13th man and possibility their 14th man this week. If QB Trevor Knight can’t go; it will be Junior QB Jake Hubenak holding down the fort at College Station this coming weekend. Also, future first round pick DE Myles Garrett will be on the field Saturday but probably ineffective due to his lower leg injury. And lastly, OL Conner Lanfear went down in the Miss state game with a knee injury which is a huge hit since he’s the Aggies best pass protection player. The Rebels on the other hand, have lost 6 players the 1st week of November; QB Chad Kelly being the most significant. With QB Chad Kelly out for the season the Rebels will have to turn to either Freshman QB Jason Pellerin or Redshirt Freshman QB Shea Patterson. I don’t think Coach Hugh Freeze will burn QB Shea Patterson’s redshirt freshman year with only three remaining games. So, expect QB Jason Pellerin to get the nod against the Aggies. The Rebels will struggle with their new identity this week and the Aggies will be focused…………..Aggies win and cover 38-28!!!
