STARKVILLE – Following a valiant defensive effort at No. 1 Alabama, Mississippi State football remained in both national polls on Sunday as the Bulldogs are No. 23 in the Amway Coaches poll and No. 25 in the Associated Press Top 25.

State (6-4, 2-4) is one of six SEC teams in the polls, including top-ranked Alabama, No. 5 Georgia, No. 10 LSU, No. 15/16 Florida and No. 20/21 Kentucky.

The Bulldogs fell 24-0 on Saturday in Tuscaloosa, but State limited the Tide to its lowest point output of the season and its fewest yardage output by 260 yards (305). Alabama came into the contest averaging a nation-best 51.3 points per game and 565.6 yards per game.

MSU now turns its attention to Senior Day when the Bulldogs host Arkansas at 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Wade Stadium. The game will be televised live on ESPN, WatchESPN.com and the ESPN app. The Bulldogs will wear commemorative adidas Primeknit A1 “Statesman” uniforms inspired by the Mississippi Air National Guard C-17 Globemaster III plane named “The Spirit of G.V. ‘Sonny’ Montgomery.”

Tickets for the game can be purchased at HailState.com/tickets, by calling 1-888-GO-DAWGS or in person at the MSU Athletic Ticket Office on the first floor of the Bryan Athletic Administration Building (288 Lakeview Drive).
