Zimbabwe standout Ben Follett-Smith signed with Mississippi State this week, giving the Bulldogs their second signee of the 2013 class.

Winner of eight events this past year, Follett-Smith comes to MSU as one of Africa's best golfers. The Harare, Zimbabwe, native took home the All-Africa Junior Championship and represented his home country in the All-Africa team championships in 2012.

"We welcome Ben Follett-Smith to our program at Mississippi State," coach Clay Homan said. "Ben brings an abundance of playing experience from all over the world and we are excited to have him in Maroon and White."

In 2011, the St. John's College graduate qualified for the Junior British Open. Follett-Smith also won the Zimbabwe Junior Stroke Play Championship in 2011 on his way to six event wins that year.

Follett-Smith joins Jamaican signee Johnny Newnham in the 2013 class; Newnham signed with the Bulldogs last week.
